About Us
About Maryland Shiloh Apostolic
In August 1983, Pastor Ena Robinson established the MDSAC, opening the basement of her home in Hyattsville, MD. The goal was to meet to deliver worship services with the first eight members, which included:
- Evangelist Ena Robinson
- Missionary Prudence Powell
- Deacon Howard Powell
- Deacon Hartley Robinson
- Deaconess Odelle Robinson
- Brother Delroy Robinson
- Missionary Caroline Folkes-Robinson
- Sister Ornette Channer
The early church grew despite obstacles, and the basement remained the main venue for our services. Other foundational members joined our church, including Deacon Glenford Wright, Missionary Janet Hyatt-Fowler, Deaconess Dillon and Missionary Chambers.
Other Members
In addition to our fellow members, we are thankful for the late Bishop Lee H Walsh, President of the Shiloh Apostolic Church of Jamaica Incorporated. His support and guidance to the young ministry are unforgettable. Bishop Walsh traveled with our church to the farm, where we got goats for our annual programs. He helped us with various activities, including construction projects.
Bishop Stanley Bowerbank, the then-Deputy President, also supported our church, utilizing the basement of Evangelist Robinson’s home for church services. He humbly helped to prepare the basement for the Lord’s service, clearing out the space for everyone.
Our Place in Landover, MD
In April 1991, we moved to a new place of worship in Landover, MD. During this time, Deacon Powell was appointed Assistant Pastor to Pastor Robinson. Together, they witnessed the growth of our fellowship and welcomed new members. Our new members included families that relocated to the US and joined the local church assembly. These were Deacon Wright, Sister Olive, Deacon Sharpe, and Missionary Chamber’s families. The growth of our church brought many baptisms, hope, strength, and encouragement to our Brothers and Sisters.
We continued sharing our beliefs and passion for God, even after our church underwent new changes. In 2001, Pastor Robinson passed away, and Elder Powell became the new Pastor of MDSAC. Then, a neighboring church bought the property, and we had to leave Landover. Even though we lost our building, we continued the fellowship and had prayer services, hoping to find a permanent place of worship.

In Loving Memory
We recognize the effort and support that MDSAC has had since the beginning. Here’s to the loving memory of our members:
- Pastor Ena Robinson (For Establishing Our Ministry)
- Mother Erma Walsh, Evangelist Cinderella Porter, & Deacon Llyod Sharpe (For their Support During the Development of Our Church)
- Mother Walsh (For Her Loving, Kind Heart)
- Evangelist Porter (For Her Preaching & Teaching the Word of God)
May they all continue to rest in peace with our Savior.
To God
God has guided our church throughout its foundation and various locations. We are grateful for His work and guidance throughout the years. He continuously adds souls to His kingdom and strengthens His workmanship while we guide others toward Him.
In addition, MDSAC thanks Him for appointing Elder Dwight Reid as Assistant Pastor to Pastor Powell in 2020. We have come a long way, and Jesus, our blessed Savior, continues to lead us as we trust and depend on Him.

Our Mission
Maryland Shiloh Apostolic is a fellowship of believers that purpose to know God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to equip believers through discipleship. Showing God’s love, we strive to reach a dying world with Jesus Christ through obedience to the Golden Rule.
Our Vision
- Maryland Shiloh Apostolic is a gospel-center, multicultural church in the community where souls can be saved and lost lives can be restored.
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, and it is the sole authority for faith and salvation (2 Timothy 3:16).
- We believe in One God–Jesus. He is revealed as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and the Holy Ghost in regeneration (Deuteronomy 6:4).
- We believe that salvation is only found in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).
- We believe in repentance for the remission of sin, water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-6).
- We believe in healing in the name of Jesus (Acts 3:6).
- We believe in living a holy and sanctified life (Hebrew 12:14).
- We Believe in assembling the saints together in Worship of our Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrew 10:25).
- We believe in the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the saints being caught up to meet the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).

Sunday School
Our Sunday School is available for all members of our community. We encourage everyone to get involved and develop their relationship with God. Our program focuses on reaching, ministry, and building relationships with others through teaching educational activities.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the MDSAC Sunday School is to be instrumental in the process of fostering a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Sunday School staff will interactively teach biblical truths of salvation and help families shape the Orthodox values of their children. We aim to encourage individuals to live their faith by studying the Holy Bible and Orthodox Christian teachings, supporting the church, volunteering their time, talents, and treasure as good stewards in fellowship, and developing close, lasting relationships through which they can support one another in their lifelong journey with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Vision:
To provide a loving Christian teaching environment that is Gospel-centered to train individuals in the way that they should go (Proverbs 22:6).
Goals:
1. Inspire a love for God and His truth in individuals' hearts, minds, and souls, guiding them into a deeper, more personal relationship with Jesus and a greater knowledge of His word and Christianity.
2. Prepare our students for an increasingly ungodly world and equip individuals with the biblical knowledge and spiritual fortitude necessary to live as an example of Christ within a secular society.
3. Plant seeds that interactively engage students in religious studies that are both interesting and doctrinally correct by offering well-rounded and theologically based lessons on the Bible, Worship, Prayer Life, Missions, and Outreach; thus, supporting them with the religious foundation to become effective witnesses for Jesus Christ and devoted stewards of the church.
4. Instill in our students the importance of participating in worship service, during which we receive spiritual nourishment and strength through our communion with God.
5. Continue cultivating the Religious Education Program so that the Sunday School staff remains prepared to instruct individuals in what they need to know about their religion according to grade level while establishing a stable and safe educational environment that is spiritually enriching for all.
6. Maintain a faithful and knowledgeable volunteer staff that, due to their commitment to Christ and the church, serve as teachers in the Sunday School program.
